A many eggs a week reduces the risk of death?  New research reveals

We've all heard that eating eggs raises cholesterol levels and increases the risk of various diseases, but now new research has questioned that.

The latest research from Australia's Monash University has revealed that eggs are actually beneficial for heart health and also reduce the risk of premature death.

Research has shown that eating just one egg a week can reduce the risk of death from cardiovascular diseases such as heart attack and stroke.  And this benefit is especially effective for the elderly.

The study was conducted on more than 8,700 people aged 70 years or older.  According to research, people who eat 1 to 6 eggs per week have a 15% lower risk of dying from any disease than those who only eat eggs twice a month.

The risk of death from disease is reduced by 29%.

The researchers added that eggs are very beneficial for health as they provide B vitamins, folate, fatty acids, vitamins A, D, E and K, choline and other minerals that are essential for the body.

This research is also beneficial for people who have blood cholesterol problems, as eating eggs may also help prevent heart disease.

So now if you're serious about your health, 1 to 6 eggs a week can be beneficial for your heart health!

The findings were published in the Journal of Nutrition and the research certainly highlights the benefits of eggs again.
